When it comes to designing their extensive menu, they follow an approach that is simple yet engaging: “always baked, never fried” mantra.

In the heart of Manhattan, Chickpea needs to stand out between the hudreds of fast foods and chain restaurants that saturate the Big Apple. Not only that, it also needs to speak to the always busy corporate world that has ever time to stop and enjoy a well balanced meals during its always crowded lunch break.

But what they had the option to sit down for a quick lunch that not only is affordable, but it is also packed with taste while being a healthy choice?

The chickpea, the symbol at the core of the brand, it’s famous for being packed with nutrients and gusto.

It’s always seen paired with colourful ingredients in vibrant dishes but can also be enjoyed by itself, wheter mushed into a cream or as a whole.

As the branding project was being tackled, one thing was clear: all of the chickpea elements needed to be translated into a visual language.

The branding of the restaurant has been complitely reinvented with a new, fresh logo that squints an eye to both the product it’s inspired to and the healthy benefits that it packs.

The simplicity of the logo, allows it to morph into all the extended collateral: wheter it’s in the waiters aprons or on the food packaging, the symbol stands out as memorable, carrying Chickpea’s message all across the Big Apple: eat freely.
